Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. Hardwood beams, vaulted ceilings, log furniture and mountain decor evoke the feeling of a classic ski lodge, while a gourmet kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and cozy living spaces makes this 2,600 square-foot residence feel like home. A two-story great room features two full-length sofas and a comfy armchair framing a wood-burning fireplace and large flat-screen TV for relaxing nights in, while a formal 8-seat dining table, set beneath an impressive cast-iron chandelier, allows families to gather around a home-cooked meal. With granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, the kitchen is sure to inspire the family chef. Three seats at the breakfast bar provide additional seating or a separate kids’ area. Floor-to-ceiling windows reveal sweeping mountain views from a private wrap-around deck, which also features a four-seat table and chairs, gas grill, and private hot tub. Beyond the slopes, a one-car garage gives you the freedom to explore the shops, dining and entertainment in downtown Big Sky, a 5-10 minute drive away. This quaint neighborhood features a small handful of townhome duplexes styled on the exterior as log cabins with all the comforts of home inside—and lots of outdoor living space for lawn games or playing in the yard. Big Sky Town Center is a 10-minute walk or short drive, where guests will find many of our favorite local shops, restaurants, groceries, and nightlife. Other nearby activities include fly-fishing and rafting on the Gallatin River, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The west entrance of Yellowstone National Park is a 45-minute drive to the south, most of which is through the scenic northwest corner of the park and Gallatin National Forest.

With convenient ski in/ski out access to all of Big Sky Resort's terrain, these spacious suites are perfect for the skiers and boarders in your group, although they can be enjoyed year-round. The Cowboy Heaven Luxury Suites enjoy incredible alpine views and luxury appointments that will make them a favorite home away from home. An ideal choice for family and friends, the suites each offer a private deck with a hot tub. For your convenience, there is a one car garage designated for your suite as well as a private laundry room. An optional guest membership fee will also give you access to the outdoor pool at the private Moonlight club.
