Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. Under the same roof are restaurants, shopping, ski storage, meeting rooms, and the Solace Spa. For your entertainment when you're not enjoying the beautiful slopes, the living room boasts a smart TV, DVD player, a Wii console, and an iPod dock for playing your favorite music throughout the suite. There is also a wood-burning fireplace for comfortable evening gatherings. A deck off the suite provides access to the hot tub as well as a gas grill. There is also a laundry room for your convenience.

From this mountain-top estate, Big Sky’s two base areas are a 5-minute drive away, offering easy access to ski school, shopping, dining and family activities. Big Sky Town Center, offering restaurants, movies, free concerts, and a seasonal farmers’ market, is a 10-minute drive. In the summer, escape to the Beehive Basin Trailhead just 3 minutes away for hiking along wildflower-lined trails.

An inviting entryway with a comfortable bench has ample space for coats, boots and bags. A laundry room off the entryway makes it easy to clean up after a busy day on the slopes. An open living, dining and kitchen area has beautiful wide-plank hardwood floors, a vaulted ceiling, a large stone fireplace and beautiful mountain views. Rich leather sofas and an armchair surround a TV and an impressive stone wood-burning fireplace. Sliding glass doors open from the living area to a patio with a large hot tub and a gas grill. Skycrest boasts fabulous views and offers spacious condominiums with rock fireplaces, private indoor hot tubs, underground parking and the most dramatic views in Big Sky. Skycrest condominiums are less than a mile from the lifts across the main road and serviced by the free shuttle. A guest master, also featuring a king bed, offers total privacy as the only room (along with a detached private bath) on the upper level.
