Chalet de Neige is a true mountain hideaway, sitting high on Mt. Baldy amongst the pines looking down to the valley and out to the Rocky Mountains. Designed with exposed wood throughout, the home has a rustic-luxury feel and ample warmth and coziness. Just off the entryway is the spacious living room with a large sectional sofa, flat screen TV, wood burning stove and a wall of windows reaching up to the peak of the vaulted ceilings. Adjoining the space is the dining area with seating for eight and the fully-equipped kitchen. The kitchen offers additional seating at the island’s bar and in the breakfast nook with a picnic style table.
An upstairs loft with a second seating area overlooks the main floor and five bedrooms provide sleep space for up to 14 guests. Bedding options include two kings, one queen, two twins, two sets of bunk beds and one sleeper sofa. Shared between the rooms are three full baths. Downstairs you’ll find a game room with a flat screen TV and billiards table, perfect for a little friendly competition.
Outside is a private hot tub and spectacular mountain views. Nearby are several of the area’s top cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trailheads for Nordic skiers. Just down the road are the powdered slopes of Breckenridge Resort and the famed shops and dining of Main Street. During the winter, a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended for ease of transportation.
