Convenient Location in Canyons Village

Nice.

Everyone at Sundial Lodge were friendly & accommodating as well. The staff at the ski valet were especially nice.

5 STARS

See review above. The only negative thing I can think of is my children were disappointed that the hot tub by the pool was cold, so we used the other hot tubs (they couldn’t go swim alone).

Ski.com did not do due diligence in booking this resort

This was a disappointment and horrible stay. The room was dated and dirty. Not only was there visible debris on the carpet, if you wiped the carpet with a towel it turned brown. There were no drawers, or places to place clothes except on hangars and 2 shelves. The fireplace didnt work, the exhaust fan didnt work, and the heater was so noisy you couldnt sleep. The mattress pad on the couch is thin. It worked for kids but dont think about an adult. BUT the best is every morning you awake to construction at 6. I thought it was in the hotel and when I looked there were huge kleig lights and workers pounding away next door. This hotel is listed as ski in/ski out. That is a LIE. There is no way to ski up to the hotel or ski out the door. If you ski to the base, you then have to carry your skis about 350 feet. They dont even have storage at the base. When we stayed there only one of the hot tubs was hot .a hotel of this size there were only 3 tubs, so you either had to sit like a sardine in a can or wait . They also ran out of towels . When we arrived the woman was very pleasant but painfully slow. Later we found out she set our keys wrong.. All other front desk experience was horrible. When I complained about the construction I was told "the construction was not at the hotel and they had no control" and IT was not their problem. When I asked about the location of a changing rooms the front desk manager did not seem interested in helping me. When I asked about the shuttle to and from Park City the answers were also exceptionally vague. "It picks up at the shuttle area". I asked at the Park City information desk and they were equally clueless. Later I found out you need to make a reservation.. If you have take the city bus to Sundial it leaves you off next to a dumpster and then you walk up several flights of stairs. When I booked I was told breakfast was included. We even had a discussion of how many breakfast vouchers . When I got there, turned out no breakfast.

Convenient and clea

We were. A stop in with 6 adults and 6 kids, ranging in age from 10-18. Sun Dial lodge was convenient to the ski lift and ticket area. They were very efficient with storing skis and boots. Small condo's, but very clean and well stocked.

Clean and nice

Staff nice very helpful room had a nice view midweek cleanup
David Lambert

You can't beat it, the facilities are clean, friendly and the perfect location to ski in and out. Approxiately 100 yrds to the lift.

Great experience to stay in the Sundial but your food choices are some what limited and thus the food outlets are over priced and expensive. I suggest you arrive early to shop for food to prepare your own meals during your stay in the Sundial or the accommodations in the Canyons.

Sundial Lodge Stay

The Sundial Lodge is a large, condominium complex like most of the properties at Canyons village. If you need a hot tub, the Sundial Lodge is the best, most conveniently located property to the gondola, cabriolet and Canyons base. The condos are clean and service is excellent. The condos are not set up to handle snowy, ski equipment. Ski boots and skis cannot go into the condos so you have to check them in and out of a "ski room" every day. It gets pretty busy in the morning. A bit of a pain but all in all, great location, great complex, great service. I would return.

Pretty property

Our condo was spacious except for the bedroom which had minimal walk around room (no place for a suitcases) and an awkwardly placed bedroom door. Gas fireplace was on a timer - we generally prefer wood burning but they have smog issues in Park City. The staff was helpful. They have ski and boot storage/service off the lobby.
