Current Future Pattern Favors Intermountain West

Updated 2/10/21

After a very productive weekend for the majority of Colorado, the Intermountain West is projected to see more and more snowfall via two separate systems, one from the southwest and one from the northwest. The first of the two is affecting portions of Utah and Colorado this afternoon with ski resorts such as Crested Butte and Steamboat forecasted to receive 6+ inches by Wednesday morning. That should provide a nice refresh before storm #2 will begin its march across virtually the entire western United States save for portions of northern Montana this Thursday. Also, the East Coast continues to see decent accumulations this week with resorts in New York and Southern Vermont seeing totals in the 2-8 inch range.
