Modern Hip Hotel in the Center of Val d'iIsere
I really enjoyed my stay at the Avenue Lodge in Val d'isere last month. I had a superior hotel room facing the main street with a huge deck. My room did not have a great view, but it was spacious. The bath was especially nice with separate rain shower and huge soaker tub with TV, dual vanities. The grotto style pool, Jacuzzi and steam were very relaxing. At the last minute I decided to have a massage and the spa was very accommodating. The therapist was first-rate. The ski shop, although small, had great equipment and the staff were very helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with hot and cold items. The hip, contemporary vibe in the hotel was very unique and it was convenient to the lifts - only a one-block easy walk! Great shopping right outside the front door.
