Maintenance issues
Village buses never showed on first night, so we ate at the Ridge... but the electricity was out so it was just sandwiches. This resort seems to have a problem with electricity --- it was out again on the day before we left. Had to call the front desk multiple times --- to reset TV channels and fix the frig (it was unplugged for some reason) plus. Road and snow maintenance at the resort was not good, very slippery. This resort is NOT ski-in/ski-out. Need to hop in a van to get to the slopes and back again. I would suggest looking at other hotels in South Lake Tahoe (base of the gondola) or Stateline.
Everything that you need
We stayed at the Ridge Tahoe Resort. This place is relatively new and located near the Stagecoach Lodge - a little bit away from the village action. However it did suit us well. The Resort has hot tubs in every building - you don't have to go far. The Club House has a nice indoor/outdoor pool. However the indoor section is pretty small. It was windy and the outdoor section was cold. So was the hot tub. The views from rooms are breathtaking. The only one minus - the resort has a Wi-Fi, however you have to pay for it. In this day and age it should be free.
