    About Park City

As of 2015-16 ski season, Park City Mountain and Canyons were connected, to create the largest ski resort in the United States. Canyons' staggering 4,000 acres were joined to Park City Mountain Resort via the Quicksilver Gondola, and together the two areas offer more than 7,300 acres of world-class ski and snowboard terrain. With a wider variety of lodging and terrain options on their Park City ski vacation, skiers and snowboarders can now choose between staying in the buzzing, historic downtown Park City or the quieter, slope side accommodations at Canyons Village with easier access to whatever type of terrain their heart desires.

Canyons Village and the classic ski town of Park City can accommodate anyone's off-mountain interests. World-class dining, ample shopping, several live music and performing arts venues, and the annual Sundance Film Festival all combine to make the Park City nightlife world-class.

Ranked as one of the top resorts for families year in and year out by SKI Magazine, Park City Mountain has a lot to offer for active families looking to make memories. The intermediate terrain and world-class groomed runs make it one of the best resorts to arch fast turns on cruisers, and jibbers of all levels have world-class terrain parks to enjoy. The new gondola connection makes it even easier for guests to access the Canyons' side more prevalent advanced and expert terrain, so every level of skier or snowboarder in your family or group can experience their ideal terrain on a Park City Mountain Resort ski vacation.

    Downtown Park City

One of the things that downtown Park City is known for is hosting the annual film fete, Sundance. The world-famous film festival has planted its roots in Park City because of the fun, rustic atmosphere, delicious restaurants, and lavish hotels and condos that are scattered throughout downtown.

Even when Hollywood’s stars aren’t vacationing in Park City, the downtown scene is lively. Downtown Park City is a blend of contemporary and historic. There’s a ski bridge and Town Lift that joins the rustic town with the modern ski resort, illustrating how inter-connected the mountain and town truly are.

    Park City Mountain Resort

    One of my Favorites!

Park City/Canyons may now be my favorite place to ski. I've been to Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, A-Basin, Heavenly, Squaw Valley, Jackson Hole, Big Sky, Steamboat, Crested Butte, and several other smaller places, and they're all great places to ski. Staying at the Canyons, though, in a ski-in, ski-out hotel and having access to so much terrain was fantastic!

    Park City Employees

From the ticket counter to the lift ticket scanners to the lift operators, everyone was so very nice. This trip was a birthday present from my husband and when we bought our lift tickets, the employee at the counter wished me a happy birthday and the day of my birthday, every time they scanned my ticked, a happy birthday tune played. Nice touch.

    fantastic holidays

Everything was perfect! it was the best holidays ever!

    Lots of terrain

This was our first time skiing in the West. The terrain was much different, the blues are much steeper than in the East. But lots of nice groomed trails & lots of lifts. It was easy to get to the Canyons but not as easy to get back to the main area. Overall, really enjoyed it.

Great time , easy planning .

Very easy trip . Easy pick up of lift tkts, door to door rentals . Westgate has everything we needed !

    Hit the Slopes!

We let ski.com find this resort and it allowed us to spend more time on the slopes and less time getting to the slopes.

Park City Mountain Resort is AMAZING!

Just returned from 4 days of Spring skiing Park City Mountain Resort. It was absolutely perfect weather to ski without a jacket and just a couple of layers. The mountain/resort/trails/slopes are really fantastic all around. Virtually no lift lines to speak of! We took the free buses all around town to go to dinner etc., it was so convenient! We look forward to going back again as soon as possible! Only one negative...food prices on the mountain are excessive.

Great spring break with the family

What a wonderful week of fresh powder, minimal congestion on the mountain, and mostly bluebird days. The only ‘complication’ we had was when a moose and her baby were on the slopes and they had to close a couple of runs one afternoon - pretty cool

accommodations were suitable, spacious and clean

United delayed my bag for 2.5 days. I lost 1.5 days of skiing. Park city is too built up. Too many fine dining establishments, art galleries, jewelry stores and clothing boutiques. Not enough causal places to go. Not enough Apres ski bars. Too expensive (on mountain $25 for turkey sandwich and fries and $15 for slice of pizza) Skiing was awesome. No lift lines. Great snow. Ski rental place very accommodating and friendly.

    Ok

Park city Good restaurants And shops for tourists in town

Park City offers the best of several worlds. It is incredibly easy to get to: just 35 minutes drive/shuttle from Salt Lake City International Airport. It has the most terrain of any ski area in the United States. It has a charming town with a lot of history.

To give you an idea of how big the ski area is - we started at the far end of Canyons Village and worked our way toward Park City. Our group of fast skiers only did one run twice and, by lunch time, we still hadn't crossed over to the "Park City side" of the area. It is immense!

I was very fortunate spend time in Park City  this past February and again in June. One of the many things that made this such a memorable experience was the feel of the town.  It was lively and interesting. The history of the town is seen everywhere from its days as a booming mining town to it emergence into a top rated ski town. The culture is everywhere. The people were friendly, courteous and extremely welcoming.

If you get an opportunity to ride the mountain coaster, take it, regardless of summer or winter. I did it during both visits and it was a blast! Te resort has something for everyone no matter what you like or what your budget is.

Oh and if you have a chance to get over to Deer Valley visit the St Regis J&G Grill and try the 7452* Bloody Mary. It’s amazing and you can adjust to suite your own spiciness with a pipette full of Worcestershire and Tabasco!  (7,452 is the resorts altitude). Or stop by the Glitretind Restaurant at the Stein Eriksen for breakfast and indulge in the Chef’s signature breakfast - Norwegian Potato and Bacon Pancake with poached egg, cranberries and a Jarlsberg cheese sauce – it was truly heaven in pancake form.

I've really enjoyed Park City during the winter, especially during weekdays when the crowds are a little smaller. Sundance can pack the streets of Old Town, but oftentimes that's a great time to hit the slopes, as most are celebrity spotting or viewing films. There's lots of terrain for beginners and intermediates, as well as plenty of tough trails for experts.

One of the big benefits of Park City Mountain Resort is that it's not just a winter destination! Last week I experienced a few of the activities from a full spectrum of choices - the Alpine Slide and the Alpine Coaster were my favorites - and it was terrific! Definitely a resort to check out during all seasons.
